We planned, produced and delivered impactful branding for the European Tour’s new and exciting golf format, GolfSixes, which was held at The Centurion Club, St Albans.
Now into its second year, GolfSixes brings a fast-paced format to the golfing world, with 16 two-player teams competing over six holes. This year’s competition also welcomed some of Europe’s top female players, with wildcard teams including an England Women’s team and a European Women’s team.
Having provided branding for the inaugural event last year, we were once again entrusted to bring the tournament to life. We defined and designed the whole event, producing and installing all tournament branding and signage items such as the tee sponsor boards, scoreboards, grandstand branding and wayfinding. This all led to a vibrant and impactful experience for the competitors, tournament sponsors and spectators.
The 2018 edition welcomed more than double the number of spectators who visited Centurion Club for the inaugural event the previous year, which shows how well received this format of golf is becoming on the professional circuit.
Additionally, the introduction of the ladies teams was hailed a huge success by players and fans, as the European Women’s Team of England’s Mel Reid and Spain’s Carlota Ciganda and the English pair of Georgia Hall and Charley Hull both made it through to the quarter finals.
