How do you ensure a great and enjoyable show for thousands of attendees in a relatively confined area?
The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2017
Our team once again helped the RHS bring the Chelsea Flower Show to life for 2017. As the most famous flower and landscape gardens show in the United Kingdom, and perhaps in the world, each year it attracts 157,000 visitors from all continents. Held at Chelsea since 1912, the show is extensively covered on television by the BBC and is attended by the Queen and several members of the Royal Family.
Learning from the previous year, our team delivered an even better experience for attendees. Using their expertise, the team understood that having too much wayfinding actually hinders rather than helps crowd flow as people often stop to check each signpost and map. By having less, but strategically positioned to cover the site efficiently, attendees keep moving and thus reduce congestion.
As well as the well-positioned wayfinding, we delivered the bright colourful branding and the obligatory Chelsea Lilac adorned signs, which helped the site look fantastic.
Experience counts in other areas too; working with one of the stand builders at the show, we were able to deliver on a requirement that had flummoxed many before us – removing adhesive residue from an aluminium profile. Needless to say, there was some very happy feedback: “You have manged what none before you have been capable of! Well done!”
We also delivered a number of sponsor branding at the Chelsea Flower Show, such as for the showpiece Fortnum & Mason structure.
