Imagine going on holiday and bumping into your favourite sports stars every day. That can become a reality through a new fan experience launched by the NFL’s Washington Commanders.
The Commanders and First Class Cruises, in conjunction with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, have launched a special cruise package that will allow fans to sail with Washington legends.
Fans will be able to set sail on a seven-night Caribbean cruise from March 25 to April 1 next year alongside their favourite Commanders stars. The likes of Doug Williams, Dexter Manley, Gary Clark, Joe Theismann, Jordan Reed and Santana Moss will accompany fans on their memorable holiday.
Setting sail
The first Washington Commanders Fan Cruise will depart from Miami in Florida with fans travelling on Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas cruise vessel.
Travellers will stop at a number of Caribbean islands as part of the fan cruise, including Costa Maya, Roatán, Cozumel and Royal Caribbean’s private island, CocoCav.
As part of the trip, guests will have the opportunity to take part in Commanders-themed events and activities like meet-and-greets, Q&A sessions and photo opportunities. There will also be trivia, karaoke, dancing and more in the company of the Washington legends.
As soon as fans step aboard the Harmony of the Seas, they will be immersed in all things Washington Commanders. There will be a ‘Welcome Aboard’ party with player introductions, and basketball shootouts.

A holiday like no other
Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas cruise ship features seven distinct neighbourhoods, all with their own character and innovative at-sea experiences.
The vessel will not only offer a chance to mix with Commanders legends, but also to take in upscale entertainment to really cement the high-end fan experience.
The ship includes the likes of four pools and 10 whirlpools, water slides, lounges, surfing simulators, rock climbing walls and a zip line. The range of activities means that the cruise caters for any Commanders fan, young or old.
